Thanks Kathy for a very cute story! I won't try to pick it apart as it says it all perfectly! When Jesus is in his place the world will be right! Amen!

Sorry Kathy, It's not a function of my not remembering how it is to be a child. Rather, it is a function of my not being naive enough to believe this is a true story. And my knowing it is just another sneaky way to push a particular agenda. (Like saying the United States was founded on th Christian religion.) So here's two another scenarios: Let's say we could go back in time to the late 1940's and early 1950's and you saw an article like the one below the ---- line. First though, know that in Russia was a group called the "Young Communists" which programmed children in to they beliefs propagated by the Communist party. ------------------ A father wanted to read his magazine, and was being bothered by his young daughter, Olga. Finally, the father tore out a page of the magazine, on which was printed the map of the world. Tearing it into small pieces, he gave it to Olga, and said, "Go into the other room and see if you can put this together." After only a few minutes, she returned and handed him the map correctly fitted together. The father was very surprised and asked her how she had finished so quickly. She said, "On the other side of the paper is a picture of Stalin and so when I got his picture together, the world came out right." --------------------------- Here is another one: This time we go back to the late 1930's and early 1940's and you saw an article like the one below the ---------- line. And know, in Germany was a group called the "Hitler Youth" which programmed children in to they beliefs propagated by the Nazis. -------------- A father wanted to read his magazine, and was being bothered by his young son, Kurt. Finally, the father tore out a page of the magazine, on which was printed the map of the world. Tearing it into small pieces, he gave it to Kurt, and said, "Go into the other room and see if you can put this together." After only a few minutes, Kurt returned and handed him the map correctly fitted together. The father was very surprised and asked how he had finished so quickly. "Oh", it was easy. he said, "on the other side of the paper is a picture of Hitler and so when I got him in place, the world came out as it should." -------------------------- Or we could also have an article about North Korea's "Great Leader Kim Jong II" And of course, we could have the same types of scenarios for many different people (Chairman Mao, Saddam) and/or religions. (Like using a picture of Budda, Muhammad, The Dali Lama, etc.) All of these scenarios and the one you gave are the same result of children being programmed by their parents and culture into a particular belief system. The only difference being is yours is pushing a religion rather than a political system. Neil

So LAWTON, IF you had gotten the following in an e-mail and then saw the first comment I mand on this subject, WOULD YOU HAVE MADE THE SAME REPLY? (I doubt it) --- A father inb North Korea wanted to read his magazine, and was being bothered by his young daughter. Finally, the father tore out a page of the magazine, on which was printed the map of the world. Tearing it into small pieces, he gave it to her, and said, "Go into the other room and see if you can put this together." After only a few minutes, she returned and handed him the map correctly fitted together. The father was very surprised and asked her how she had finished so quickly. She said, "On the other side of the page is a picture of Kim Jong II. So when I got his picture together, the world came out right." ------------------------ Neil
