Yep. I know what you mean, Sharon. But those are tire kickers. Send them a followup email and be done with it. Let your autoresponder do its thing.
Since I use my cell phone and don't pay long distance for it, I call every number someone actually supplies. If it's real, I leave a personal message. If I get a person, I talk to them, naturally. If they don't leave a phone number (when I've asked for one), I don't even count them a prospect until THEY call ME.
You don't want to work with curiosity seekers. You want to sift through the responses you get and find people who are genuinely interested in changing their lives.
I get lots of prospects from my lead capture pages. I just don't worry about the ones who leave fake info so they can try to figure out what the page is a lead-in for. I think online marketers do that a lot, just to "check you out." (I've even been known to get attracted by someone's lead capture page, then find out its for a program or service I'm already involved with.)
