Hi All,

If I haven't replied to you yet I will, but its 1.30am Tuesday here in the UK and I need my beauty sleep because I promised Barbara 6 years ago that I would decorate the hall stairs and landing.  I started it last week and then wished I hadn't but a promise is a promise and she has been very patient with me, she hasn't nagged me once honest!

I will be back online about 5pm UK time, so see you all then.

Best Wishes

John.

Hello John,

Congratulations and best wishes on POTW.

I enjoyed reading your bio and wondered just how many members actually
understood what 'pram wheels' (baby buggy), bulsa wood planes, cricket and billards are?  *lol*

What is usual to us (Kiwi's are very english - I'm told more Brit than the British) *grin* when I have used these common words and phrases over here in the
States I have been either met with a blank look or asked what that is..

I also had a childhood racing downhill in these homemade go-carts - the street
where I lived had a steep hill that they held these races with lots of bales of
straw for the kids to crash into.  My elder brothers made the bulsa wood
airplanes and jets, they flew really well although often got broken wing, nose etc due to hitting wall, tree etc too hard, yet easily mended and a piece of plastersein
on the nose..

Thanks for the memories

Kind regards
