Re: Adventist Belief Number 27 - Millennium and the End of Sin

Hi James ,

I bet you thought I forgot to come back, well I didn't .. lol

OK your topic is the thousand year Regine. I do agree with much of what you stated with one small exception. where this time will be spent. It has to be on earth and not in heaven according to rev. 20 starting in the first verse it says coming down from heaven. when you read verses 1-8 you see that Satan is loosed to go out once again to receive the nations the nations are always on earth never in heaven . my understanding of the purpose of the 1000 years is to heal the nations and train and teach the people who has made it to the end. looking at verse 9 in same chapter you see the event that is taking  place on earth is the preparation for the battle of Gog and Magog the final and last battle.  look at verse 9 closely it says the saints have a camp on earth not in heaven they are surrouned by Satan and his bunch. at that time G-d sends fire and consumes them . Just my two cents for what this is worth.. and we can always agree to disagree and still stand together in unity of the SON.. AMEN !

Blessings,
Geketa

James ,,

I am not gonna split hairs with you on this.. nor will I debate .. on this one. We are just gonna have to agree to disagree ..it all takes place on earth not heaven what would be the purpose of no sin being on earth if there was not one there ? please consider that !

Geketa, it's a good thing you are not gonna split hairs with me on this one!! I have a limited supply.

I agree with you that it will all happen on this earth. The portion that I don't agree with you on is the fact that the righteous will be in heaven during the 1000 years doing judgement on the wicked with Christ. Satan will be in his dungeon on this earth with noone to tempt.  After that period is over, they (righeous) will descend to this earth, where Satan will be loosed, the war begins, but Satan has already lost, and the righteous will be protected in their camp that has been surrounded by Satan and his followers. God will then destroy Satan. It really is not complicated, just a little hard to understand.

If you'd like to debate this further, I'd be happy to do it thru email or private messenger!
