The Silence

Listen to the silence
That comes to the mind
When it is still in all the moments
I was trying to find.

I feel the waves calling
On the ocean cool and deep
Gentle rain is falling
Hiding the tears I weep

Come and join me in the beauty
Of the silence of the mind
It is calling us so calmly
What the spirit is trying to find.

The calling comes in silence
Yearning and wanting to believe
Beauty without measure in this stance
I never wanted it to leave.

If you listen ever so closely
You will hear the wind
Then the music must be mostly
A tribute to heaven's friend.

Do you wonder what has happened
to bring me to this trend?
A great soul was passing
And she was my true friend.
