  1. Don't make weird faces or it'll freeze that way.
  2. Eat your bread crusts to make your hair go curly.
  3. Don't pee in the pool or else it'll change colour and everyone will know what you did.
  4. If you're bad, we'll return you to the "Baby Store" for a refund... forever!
  5. Oops! Mommy and daddy are just pretending to, er, wrestle ... in bed!
  6. The family pet, Lucky, went away to live on a farm with lots of other dogs!
  1. No, Mommy is not mad at Daddy for giving you chips, candy and pop before bedtime.
  2. Listen to mommy or I'm calling <insert seasonally appropriate character here> i.e. Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny or the Tooth Fairy.
  3. Sorry honey, we can't go to the zoo, toy store or theme park because they're all closed on Saturdays.
  4. If you hold your breath too long, your head will explode and mommy will have to clean it up.

I have never told my kids anything like that the truth holds the key.

If you tell your kids things like that you will regret it later.
