Take a look at what this guy did with all the time on his hands!

"THE  LEGO CHURCH " 

This is amazing!  Someone certainly is talented and patient to create such a masterpiece . 
  A few quick facts:

How long to build it?   It was about a year and a half of planning, building and photographing.

How many pieces of LEGO to build it?   More than 75,000

How big is it?   About 7 feet by 5 1/2 feet by 30 inches (2.2 m x 1.7 m x .76 m)

How many LEGO people does it seat?   1,372

How many windows?   3,976
 

It features a balcony, a Narthex, stairs to the balcony, restrooms, coat rooms, several mosaics a nave, a baptistry, an altar, a crucifix, a pulpit and an elaborate pipe organ.

I had to look twice to make sure there wern't real people in  those pews! I can almost hear the choir! VERY IMPRESSIVE!!

Wow! That's really cool.  I'm glad to see the builder use his extra time to do something creative.  Now, does the time it took to build the wonderful church include the time it took to convince the cat to not bat the pieces around, eat the Lego people and pretty much cause havoc?  I don't know what it is about Legos, but my cats love them!  At least the Legos are pretty much indestructible as far as the cat mauling is concerned, not so much as a tooth mark on them.
