I agree with this whole heartedly.  As has been said, we are all adults and should handle ourselves as such especially among our business contacts here.  It was unfortunate that this post had too be made; but, necessary.

I agree with your views. I too delete posts that are not appropriate (rude or fighting) and don't want people to spam my forums with advertisements.  I have one set up for business, As long as people don't post MULTIPLE topics and ad, I allow their topics.

Venerina1, Who is 2? I digress. I agree with you 98% regarding blatant advertising and 100% regarding common etiquette, not just forum etiquette, but everyday niceness. The 2% advertising reservation is for the little guy with a $0 budget for advertising, networking, a new computer, etc... 98% I agree respond directly to the form and use a ryze rule: "Don't just say thanks and leave your byline/signature....add content...you will garner more response/respect for it..." (I break this rule sometimes) 2% If you must, and I mean absolutely must and have to or the skies will turn to blood, leave a larger advertising note, other than your signature, make it RELEVENT and not too intrusive. There, there is my 2¢ worth, or its that 7¢ with inflation?
