Business is about making everyone happy, and hopefully making money for everyone involved. On TV that would be the producer of the show, the television station, and the commercial sponsors. I mention that because I watch too much TV. In advertising, the owners of advertising sites, and the advertisers, and the program owners, (such as in affiliate programs) all must be happy and make money. In print ads, the owner of the publication, the advertiser, and the reader all must be happy and make money...yes, we get it!!
I studied a lot in print advertising, and I want to mention goofy stuff here online...such as "squeeze pages" to get our email address, that came from mail-order, and affiliate programs online, also a replica of mail-order commission programs, and advertising sites, also from mail-order ad sheets. Whew! And some people here may think it's all new...it's all old!
I used to enjoy writing poetry until my dad asked, "So do you make any money from that?" and then I started studying marketing but I still write poems.
