Great info, Nick.
Would you believe that I was a freshman in college before I heard of Trick or Treat? There were a bunch of others in the same boat. We were in a lab when the lab instructor, a graduate student, said near the end of the lab, "Well, I guess I'll have to pick up a bushel of apples on the way home." Why, several of us asked. Because of the Trick or Treaters he said. What's that? Then he explained.
I grew up in a town of about 10,000 population, about 32 miles from Dallas. Not exactly isolated, but apparently we were behind culturally!
Those were the days B.C.W.P.I.A.S. when people thought nothing of unwrapped apples for Halloween. BCWPIAS? That's Before Cyanide Was Put In Alka Selzer. Or was the OTC something besides Alka Selzer?
Keep up the good work, Nick.
