Hello Kathy and all of my AdlandPro friends,
Thank you Kathy, for how you help and reach out to all of your friends, I am honored to be one of them, Thank you.
And Thank you to all of my AdlandPro friends as well. I am very touched by all of you, and your thoughts and prayers. Thank you.
Mom had open heart surgery on Aug. 1st, and after being in rehabilitation (physical therapy) for over a month, she has got staph infection behind her breast plate. This morning her breast plate was removed (actually cut away because the bone was also infected).
To all of you, who have family members or good friends about to receive an open heart surgery, PLEASE keep an eye on that breast bone, and make sure you or someone changes them dressings according to your Doctor's instructions. This seems to be a catchy thing going on in hospitals.
Even now, after my Mom has lost her breast bone, (this was another 2 hour surgery). She is still looking at yet another (up to 10 hours) of more surgery, to do what is called a "flap". This is taking muscle tissue and moving it over the heart for protection.
Mom's surgery went well this morning, I have just got home from the hospital, and she seemed to be doing pretty good at this time. But we will know more tomorrow, as if she is getting her strength back from this infection in her blood stream.
I just wanted to Thank all of you, and to also notify you all of this as well, so your loved one don't have to go through this terrible mess of surgery's.
respectfully,
