Baltimore, Maryland - Those operating their radio stations on the Internet are all wondering why no one is sticking with them and going else where. We're talking about Rhapsody Radio, Yahoo, MSN, AOL, Sirius, and the thousands of other so called " people oriented Internet Radio stations that boast " no commercials " and " super sized music libraries ". What they have in common sadly enough, is that you have to pay to have their service and to listen. There is one other radio station broadcasting on the Internet that, has no commercials, the largest music library that unlike the other stations, is totally listener requested and listener approved. This radio station is known to it's global pro-active audience as TGAMM FM. Their call letters, TGAMM are actually an acronym for THE GREAT AMERICAN MUSIC MACHINE.
TGAMM FM Radio is the brain child of Radio personality and current General Manager , Joe Buccheri. Joe is best known for his years with what was then the premier Rock and Roll Radio Staion in Baltimore in the 70's - WKTK FM and his hit show over KROQ FM is the mid-80's.
In April of 2006, The Great American Music Machine ( TGAMM FM ) hit the Internet with such force that their hosting service at Godaddy.com reported that they had so many hits that their stats went outside the graph. Now, just six months later, TGAMM FM conitinues to be commercial free, features four weekly sponsored special music programs to include , B-More Beat which airs Baltimore talent - past and present , TGAMM Spotlight with new music from around the world, Cool Jazz & Big Band Jam Thusdays and Saturday Morning Solid Gold.
TGAMM also airs Inspirational Music and Bible verse on Sundays from Midnight until twelve noon.
" We are paying close attention to the needs of our listeners, " noted Buccheri. " When reading over their emails they are requesting that we please remain commercial free, create Internet Shopping Malls where they are provided safe harbor while shopping on the Internet, and offer a station that they can acutally call their own. When they tune us in they needed to know that they could stay right where they were and with no need to go anywhere else. Along with our dedicated Staff and strict focus from Management, TGAMM accomplished all that was requested and more. Since April we have been able to develop a permission based email that is well over 1.5M strong. You just can not look at those kind of numbers and not see what they, our audience, seek from Internet radio, " Buccheri continued.

Aside from their great line-up of shows and listener requested music format , TGAMM also hooked up wth BCN News. A free news service and now a subsidiary of The Great American Music Machine, BCN sends out Business and Consumer news reports to TGAMM's global audience.
" Our listener base is comprised of the 18-65 age demographic ", offered Vernon Browne, Managing Director with BCN News. " We understand this fact from the emails and letters into the station. They tell us what they want to hear, and what they consider news worthy.We in turn provide them that personal sevice. We also know that we have many younger teens listening to TGAMM. We decided early on that the lyric content must meet the guidelines of not being offensive to a mass audience. This is something else that the majority of our listeners voiced and we are paying close attention to. "
