Also- please tell every female you know - IBC (Inflammatory Breast Cancer) can only be detected via MRI or biopsy. Unlike other forms of breast cancer, it does not appear on traditional mammography or ultrasound. If a woman has symptons that include any of the following, she should demand an MRI examination: swollen, itchy breasts; itchy lumps that appear similar to an insect bite; changes in the skin covering the breast area; a mole that suddenly appears on the breast. Early detection and treatment is KEY to survival!
