I almost lost my daughter when she was about 18 months old. In a matter of 10 days, she went into complete liver failure. Doctors only gave her a 5% chance of survival. She underwent a liver transplant, and is now ok. We don't know for sure, but we suspect it was chemicals in the home.

Hi Jackie, I am glad to hear that your daughter is okay. We too had an incident when our daughter was 18 months old. She was in heart failure. They checked her for Kawaski disease first and foremost, and asked about mold in the house etc. As you know, that is what happened to Kelly Preston and John Travolta. They finally diagnosed her with viral myocarditis since she had been sick the weekend before. But they never found the virus. It wasn't chemicals in the house that ultimately caused hers(I don't think, she was in daycare so I am sure that she was exposed to her fair share of Lysol and Clorax) but it was, in my opinion, the coedine in the cough medicine that the doctor subscribed for her earlier in the week. So, not just a tribute to the chemicals, there are other really bad things out there that are dealt to us with no second thought. You really have to be careful out there because there are not many people looking out for you and yours other than you. God bless your little girl!
