Hi Kelly,
Thanks for voicing your problem. I spent a couple of years myself practicing to write ads. I'll be brief, here are my rules for a good ad:
First --
1. The Headline Must Attract Attention Like A Benefit Siren!
( Tell them - WHAT IS IN IT FOR THEM -- Get their Attention first! )
The Headline is the most Important Part of The Ad.... by far!
Then use the rest of the ad writing formula to produce your ad:
2. Interest - Make your readers want to know more. Hook them... make them curious about your offer.
3. Desire - Include a direct benefit that will make your customer WANT your product or service.
4. Action - Always ask for what you want your reader to do! Join now, sign up, click here for more details, etc. This is very important.
That's it. The AIDA formula. Attention, Interest, Desire, Action
Good luck, Kelly! Keep on Truckin'
Marc
