How about this offer? I will give a three-dollar bill to anyone who can describe the larva of a ladybird beetle (aka, ladybug). No fair looking this up in a book or on the Internet. (BTW, I'm not trying to "look down my nose" at anyone by calling it "ladybird beetle" instead of "ladybug." This results from habit. As a child, I learned "ladybird beetle" from my father, who was an entomologist. This was reinforced in my college courses in entomology.)

P.S. Last night I told my middle son and his older son about this forum. My son asked his son to tell us what he says at the table when he wants the honey passed to him. His answer, "Pass the bee puke, please." Yes, as he gets older, I expect his speech to be more refined.
