Promoting Too Many Programs Can Ultimately Hurt Your Profits!

Promoting Too Many Programs Can Hurt Your Profits!

Affiliate Marketing is by far, one of the easiest ways to
make money online. It is a revenue sharing business
relationship between the affiliate who agrees to promote
the products or services, and the merchant who offers them.

Affiliate marketers can earn a few bucks to thousands of
dollars with affiliate programs and how much you earn is
only be limited to your determination, creativity and
strategy.

It is a brilliant way to earn online and you do not have
to produce your own product or service to make a buck.

You just need to be aware that making your fortune with
affiliate marketing is not instant. Profits usually start
small and then get larger as your campaign starts to build
momentum. You have to use your imagination to find more
ways to attract more web traffíc that can convert to sales.

How many affiliate checks do you want to receive?

Most affiliate marketers will enthusiastically reply that
they want to receive as many affiliate checks as possible.
However, it isn't as easy as it sounds?

Most affiliate marketers assume that joining multiple
affiliate programs is a wise option.

The reason for this is that as it is very easy to join
affiliate programs, and there is usually nothing to lose,
they are tempted to join as many programs they can get
their hands on. The belief is that the more programs they
belong to, the more chance they have of getting commissions.

However if you do this you fail to give your affiliate
programs enough attention and work they ought to receive.
This results  in the maximum potential of the affiliate
programs not being realized and the resulting incöme from
these programs will almost certainly be disappointing.

The best way to achieve multiple streams of incöme is to
concentrate on one affiliate program at a time.

Choose a product or service that you can promote
passionately. Pick a product in which you have complete
trust. And here's a big tip...

... The best products and services to promote are those that
you use personally!

If you promote only products you personally use, your
readers will be able to sense your sincerity whenever you
promote a product that you have experienced. This will
greatly enhance your credibility as well as your product's
marketability and will encourage your prospect to purchase
the product or service.

As soon as your first affiliate program is making a
reasonable profit then you can proceed to joining another
affiliate program and repeat the process. "Too much, too
soon" is a common pitfall in affiliate marketing. Joining
too many affiliate programs simultaneously in the hopes of
having multiple streams of incöme simply does not work.

Focus first on one affiliate program and work on it so
that it makes a good profit. Then, go find another
promising program and give it your best effort. The
question should not be how many affiliate checks you want
to receive, but how many "high-paying" affiliate checks can
you receive.

The answer lies in your determination to succeed and
determination to maximize your earning potential. With the
right tools, the right actions, and perseverance you can
definitely make a good profit out of affiliate marketing.

Hi Luella and John,

I agree with most of what you say, especially for people who are starting out, but unfortunately they are the most likely to need to make money quickly. As you point out, that's not easy when you are a new affiliate.

So many think that marketing will be easy, but unless they have a good solid education in all aspects of marketing, they will be in the 98% that fail.  I am speaking from experience!  When I got through an intense training course, knew I'd be successful, and to me, knowledge = success.  It makes life so much easier.

Just my opinion.

It is sound advice you give, but what if one doesn't understand how to use an affiliate program? I am an affiliate partner here at Adland and I just do not understand how to use some of the things it has to offer. I don't have the money to upgrade, which I know is what you will say. But if someone doesn't have the funds to support the notion of being an affiliate when you're told it's easy to do, how can you make any money at being an affiliate? Because I do not understand the program here I haven't made any money being an affiliate.

Can anyone really explain how this works?

Hello Jennifer,

Unfortunately, a person needs to check out what they are joining thoroughly and yes, the make money while you sleep and get rich quick promises are sometimes too tempting.  Many times we do learn hard lessons.  There are too few seasoned marketers that we can learn from on the internet and many of the so called "gurus" are not gurus at all.

It is very important to check into the business you are looking at, including affiliates and yes, although it is wise to diversify, sometimes you can have just too many programs where you you spread too thin.

In invite you to my blog where I address this issue.  One must be extremely careful.

Hello Dee,

I believe the way the Adlands Affiliate Program works is you place the link on your website and you receive a commission, I am not sure the percentage as people join.  I do believe that the Adlands Affiliate is free.

If I have not explained this correctly, I invite someone to come to Dee's aid and explain this a bit more clearly.

Kindest regards,
