Kathy, I was right with you until the post that you can't beleive people cant donate a lousy $3.
My soul needs praying for because I can't give to your specific cause? That is a little bit much-perhaps some of us may have more pressing issues that do not leave an extra $3 for someones trip.
Just asking, but what happened to kids doing car washes and bake sales etc to raise funds for their cultural enrichment activites?
I am not taking anything away from your cause-but I really did not care for this post.
Keep up the good work otherwise.

Joyce, we are doing those things too. Except the car washes. Too cold.

I think what Kathy was getting at is that we are not asking for huge donations here. We are asking that everyone donate $1.00. 

I, myself, always donate to others when asked, and never send less than $10 for anything. It amazes me, and Kathy too, that we can't seem to get more than a handful of folks to donate a just a single dollar to three very deserving children.

This isn't a trip like a vacation either. This is a learning experience, with high school and college credit attached to it. These kids will be studying, not just seeing the sights.

You see, Adland Pro has more than 30,000 members. If everyone would send a dollar, these kids would make that trip, and have money to spend while there.

We've had webmasters, and other professionals donate their services to help us raise these funds. Services that would've normally come with a huge price tag. All we are asking for is $1.00 from members.

We have has a lot of people send their congratulations and offers to help, but only a small group of those well-wishers have actually pitched in, like they said they would. It is very disheartening.

Thank you to all who have donated your time, energy and money to this cause.

I hope you can understand the situation a little better now.
