Insperations

Hello my friends, This one goes out to a very special friend.Kathy/simikathy.com As fish are caught in a cruel net, or birds are taken in a snare, so men are trapped by evil times that fall unexpectttedly upon them. Who said that following Christ would be an easy task??? We are all persecuted at one time or another. But, we have God as our ruler, our helper, our faithful father. -Ecclesiastes:9:12

"Pick up your cross and follow me"
So I carry myself, my cross and quite a few
people too. I don't mind. God gives me the
strength to do it and I am happy to
be in His service.

SADNESS AND GOD'S HEALING POWER

Sadness permeates from my soul and drops off my body like moisture falls from the dew-laden leaves in the dawn of a foggy morning.  Grief adheres to my being as the tiny droplets cling to the intricate patterns of the spider's web and glimmers like jewels as the fingers of light begin to play upon the scene of waking day.  I cannot see the beauty of God's world for the clouds of sadness and grief have encased me in their sticky gray mist and blocked my vision, making me as a blind person.  A wall of terror has risen in front of me for my fingers can feel the rough surface of stone as they pass over the obstacle.  I try to turn away and am besieged by some unknown enemy and captured as I fight defenseless without sufficient weapons.

A prisoner now held captive in the chains of Despair and Fright, I stop my struggle and listen.  My sight is gone and I cannot speak. But, I can feel the bonds on my wrists and around my ankles as surely as the enemy had placed them there and held the key in his teeth as he laughed in the face of my plight and my feeble attempts to escape from his enslaving chains.  My sense of hearing is keen and through the ring of his formidable laughter, I hear a voice calling me.  Very clear, very distinct from within my prison and I realize, within my soul.  My brain screams, "Oh, my Dear Lord, it is You.  You have not forsaken me."  Then softly and sweetly the words came that filled my head and started a strong pounding of my heart, warming my body, as the enlightenment spread throughout my being.

"I was here all the time and it was my arms carried you when you were bound in the chains of Despair and Fright.  I have chased the enemy away and loosened your bonds.  The wounds you attained while in his grips will heal with time and trust in me.  Sadness and Grief in the hands of the enemy can inflict great pain upon someone so trusting and naive.  Come, let us leave this darkness behind.  I will use these times to shed light on the path and place a sign of warning to those following to beware the entrapment of Grief."

Then, I was set aright on my own two shaky feet and I took His hand and walked into the morning of light and rising of sun from the Eastern sky as the sparkle of dewdrops glimmered, as a world sprinkled with diamonds.

Hi Kathy,

Thanks for sharing. It is so worth it to follow Jesus because just think how much longer eternal life will be to the short time we are on this earth. God didn't promise that this journey would be easy but He did promise that it would be worth it! Isn't it awesome that we are all going to be together again in Heaven!

Peace, Health and Prosperity,

OK Kathy - Jesus also has a sense of humour!

Jesus Helps Three Fishermen

Three guys were fishing in a lake one day, when Jesus walked across the water and joined them in the boat. When the three astonished men had settled down enough to speak, the first guy asked humbly, "Jesus, I've suffered from back pain ever since I took shrapnel in the Vietnam War. Could you help me?"

"Of course, my son," Jesus said. And, when he touched the man's back he felt relief for the first time in years.

The second guy who wore very thick glasses and had a hard time reading and driving , asked if Jesus could do anything about his poor eyesight. Jesus smiled, removed the man's glasses and tossed them into the lake. When they hit the water, the man's eyes cleared and he could see everything distinctly.

When Jesus turned to the third guy, the guy put his hands out defensively. "Don't touch me!" he cried. "I'm on a disability pension."
