Let me explain... My 16 year-old son has the opportunity to travel to Europe as a Student Ambassador for the United States. This is an educational opportunity, sponsored by, People to People, an organization created by President Dwight D. Eisenhower, back in 1956. Jerimiah was invited to represent the U.S. while visiting France, Italy and Greece. While this is the opportunity of a life time for him, he may not be able to accept this honor. I have had a few grant referrals from others, which I am checking into. I need all the help I can get.

This is an awesome opportunity for him to not only learn about different cultures, but to further his studies in art. One of the many places he will get to go is the Louvre, in France.

Jerimiah is a hardworking young man, and I am very proud of him. He maintains a 3.9 GPA.  It would be a 4.0 except for the fact that he suffers from migraines, and sometimes they are bad enough to keep him in bed for days. Last year he missed quite a bit of school. However, he has managed to maintain his grades to a 3.9. I think that is pretty darned impressive.

His art teacher is actively helping look at colleges with the best art programs, and although I don't know this for sure, I suspect that she is the one who nominated him for this experience.

Jerimiah studies karate with my husband, and is now an assistant instructor, reaching the level of brown belt in three years. He is also on the school newspaper and year book staff.

I just thought you may like to know a little more about the awesome young man I've asked you to help.
