Hello Yvonne,
How are you? Thanks for the great post
about Bill Britt. I agree with Dan that
business, both offline and online is partly
a "qualified" numbers game. However, it
much more than that.
All too often, newbies are "thrown to the wolves"
by a hard-selling, uncaring upline:
- Make a "warm" list and go after them.
- For every 100 "NOs", you'll get a "YES".
- Buy leads, and keep pursuing them (i.e.
cold-calling).
Business is not about selling - it's about
human relationships. You have to inspire
people to join your venture, then you have
to have a duplicatable system in place for
them to follow. Oh yeah, teaching them some
marketing skills would not hurt, either.
Only 5-8% of the population are "power sellers".
Another 5-7% can get by using only sales
techniques. The rest of us need different
approaches and tactics to succeed.
Bill Britt will go down as a MLM legend, but
his tactics are not duplicatable. People are
perfect just as they are. Succeeding means
having a positive attitude, limitless desire,
and the willingness to learn.
