Hi Kathy,

I'm still on the criticism fast.  So, I will be careful with what I say.

As a former newspaper reporter and editor I will just ask you a couple of questions.

1. Who is the audience you are trying to reach?

2. What do the topics on this page have to do with the Total Woman? The woman not the magazine?

3. As you can tell by the reactions you have already gotten, the issues that you have addressed on the first page are a pretty big elephant.  So, how do you eat an elephant?

4. Do you want to Win Over People or Win People Over?

I will offer you this as well:  Find your own voice and let it be heard in a non-threatening way.  You'll attract more bees with honey than you will with vinegar.

Hello Jack, Wow, these are great Questions, You see when I got my idea to create this page,its not a front page or any particular page,It was a thought, an idea,it was a rough draft of something I was trying to get across. You see you ask me what does this have to do with "The Total Woman"??I shall tell you, First of all these are pictures of real events with real people.My audience that I want to capture are real women with real lives and real stories and topics. You see there are women who have sons in war, I myself have 2 in the army as we speak,they did go to Iraq for 11 months,My son watched his 3 friends die from under ground bomb. These are real events real women like myself go through, There are women who have gay and lesbian children so they go through emotional torment over that. There are women and there families who become homeless , there are real women who are being abused as well as there children, I am one of those real women along with many others.For every situation I put up, There are real women with those same real topics and experiences. My targeted audience, well this magazine will be not your conventional magazine but a magazine that will feature real women from all my communities with their real stories. I want to capture every real emotion possible. I want these women to know they are not alone, I want these women to know there is life and love and passion after death or divorce or trauma.I want to help be a voice for the silent ones, that their words are just as important to me as to others that they do matter. My magazine I want to be different then any other magazine there is.I want my readers to feel my passion, to feel hope again,that they can rebuild there lives in any fashion.So that is kinda the direction I would like,as the Phrase "The Total Women" That also goes along with health, body, soul and mind. So I hope I have answered your questions. This magazine will not be for everyone but it sure will be for me. Thanks for your thoughts, your amazing,Kathy Martin
