This student gave a much of bull as anwer and got an "A"...must likely because the teacher could not understand fully the answer...my head is spinning just reading the answer.

Actually, Marion, I think if this student's major is chemistry, he's on the wrong career path!  Wherever he's headed in life his imagination and creativity will definitely be on his side!
