Hello Jim,

I wish you the very best of success and feedback with this forum, which, if it is well supported, will keep you very busy, as is I am sure, just what you want.

I apologise now that my replies may be fragmented as I have met a crossroads in my life which demands a great deal of my time. If things work out for myself and family I should soon have more time. I view my spiritual time as important so if God feels that I should spend more time on your forum consider it done, however, it feels to me at this time the practical aspects of my faith are needed and less study and discussion. I will not give God or yourself the disresect of not giving SERIOUS thought to what I read, therefore any postings from me will be short but well considered and with my best understaning of what He is saying to me.

 Belief NUMBER ONE:

It is good within any church that there is room to discuss and accomodate the issues and worldly trends relevant at any one time especially with a view to making sure that His greatest intentions for us are understood.

I would agree also that a body, if set up with the intention of fulfilling His will, and under the guidance of The Holy Spirit, can reach agreement towards furthering those aims then it should be so.

The Spirit moves me to believe more and more that we should accept the one creed but also that we should move nearer to understanding the sometimes small differences in other beliefs with an aim of uniting everyone under one truth. This does not mean that I believe in compromise but in genuine exploration of our differences and the interpretation that the Spirits guidance seems sometimes to lead us to confuse.

I firmly believe, after a lifetime of searching,  that no one earthly church can lay claim to the truth but that our honest search for truth should lead us to our most rellevant family for communion.

His World will be final and I believe that there will be a place for all of those who believe in Him and spend their life in sharing and promoting The Kingdom of God to everone.

Thank you Jim for sharing your forum,

We may find that there are points upon which we can't agree but I fervently hope that with The Spirits guidance we will all benefit from reading and understanding.

Roger

I see 28 fundamental beliefs listed, wonder which one you're not going to have in your list?

Hello, James!

I, too accept the Bible and Jesus as my savior.  I'm a Presbyterian.

I'll come back later and see what else you have posted.
