Thank you for sharing the story. It is important to remember that when one door closes another opens. Be open-minded enough to see the new path. Don't let anyone steal your dreams! Everyone who has become successful has had many people tell them to quit and that what they were doing would never work:-) Remember that the bumblebee is not supposed to be able to fly but he doesn't know it so he flys anyway.
