It’s time again for my favorite project of the week and that is the Feature of The Week! It is my favorite project because you folks and the POTW’s of the week make it a very special event. The reason the Feature of the Week forum was created was to honor people who have a positive influence on this community. To qualify the person has to be an active member and one who contributes to the positive atmosphere here at AdlandPro. Here is the criteria for nominating a member for the Feature of the Week (also referred to as the Person of the Week, POTW). This criterion can be seen at the site below:

A Rose is a Rose is a Rose… but not when it’s our Rose Smith! Rose is one of our community’s talented Poets and this week’s POTW! This shy but friendly lady is one of the hidden treasures of AdlandPro that we’re just now discovering. If we had a bouquet of this particular kind of Rose we would truly be blessed. Here’s Rose Smiths’ Bio:
Thank you to all who voted for me in the poll. I'm a bit flabbergasted.
Just about everything there is to say about me has been said in the "About Me" tab on my profile. I am basically a shy, quiet woman from Columbus, Ohio. I landed here at eight years old after moving around the U.S. the first part of my life. My dad was in the Air Force, and my mom was ill. We (my sister and I) lived in Alabama, then Columbus, then Alabama, then Los Angeles. We settled here in Columbus when my dad brought us to live with his mom. I often think moving around contributed to my shyness, but who knows these things?
I believe in integrity in online marketing. Generally, I won't offer a product unless I can truly get behind it, believe in it. It can't just sound good or sound like it will help people make good money. I know I used to hate being approached by salespeople, and I can't do it unless I can fully stand behind the product and the primary managers of the product.
Between my day job (currently that's hunting for another day job), my family, my life as an active performance poet (I tour throughout the midwest and do readings in Ohio cities upon request as well as having competed nationally in poetry slam), and online marketing, I have very little time for myself. I treasure each moment and realize how very precious life is. We have a very short span of time to affect the lives of others.
I've enjoyed meeting people here at Adland. You are all such interesting folks. There is a true sense of community here. I try not to let all of my communications with people be entrepreneurial. We get enough advertising as it is. If you get a message from me, it's generally because I found something I thought truly fantastic and wanted to spread the word. Yes, we're all in this to make money, but I won't do that at the expense of friendship with you all.
Remember, life is full of as many reasons to celebrate as reasons to mourn or worry. Maintain a balance. Try to see the good in every moment. There is a reason for everything. If you're going through a tough passage, just remember the number of times the Bible says "it came to pass." I take that literally. Whatever the frustration of this moment, "this too shall pass." I'm taking a slow road to victory every day--won't you join me? We'll get there together.
