Hi Marilyn
I'm 100% in agreement with you.
Although we eventually become good friends with people here at Adlandpro who try to help others or who have the same interests, beliefs etc. as ourselves, some people think that because they are 'anonymus' they can write anything. We are all in effect 'pen-pals' and although you can become friends and have a feeling about someone from what they write, you will probably never actually meet that person. That doesn't mean that person has no feelings - they are individual human beings just like we are.
Marilyn - your posts are always great. That's why I come here. And I've learn't so much from reading your posts I consider you a friend. However, because I'm still learning I haven't yet started a post of my own so you won't know me like I know you so you would not consider me as a friend in the same way as I consider you. This is the difference between friends on the net and friends you form with person to person relationships.
Before you post a reply to a forum think "Would I say this to a person face to face?". If not, don't say it in a forum. If you do, don't be surprised if you are soon removed from friends lists.
While I'm on the subject of friends lists - when you first agree to be someones friend you know nothing about them. If after you join their list you get bombarded with adverts to join 'opportunities' and nothing else, they shouldn't be surprised if you delete their forums and eventually their name from your list. They haven't grasped what Adlandpro is all about. Once you get to know someone and then receive an opportunity you are more likely to take it seriously.
A good example of a friend of mine and also a friend of yours is Georgios. He puts a lot of work into his posts to provide really useful information and doesn't deserve to be treated without respect just because you don't agree with something he says. I suppose the more active you are, the more chance you will get abuse - it's just the nature of the internet. The abusers will fail the others will eventually be succesful.
Sorry if I've ranted on too long.
Regards
Brian
