Our forum features a member of the AdlandPro community each week who is truly a bright and *SHINING STAR*. It is a person that may not necessarily be a "high-profile" person per say, but rather someone that is not only a great friend to many, but also has a good heart and truly cares about others.

Here are the qualifications that will be used in the selection of each honoree. People that are selected will be recognized based on:
1. Acts of kindness that they show to their fellow man.
2. Must be willing to help others, and treat people in a kindly manner.
3. Have a good-hearted nature, and shows it through all that they do.
4. Must be a positive role model, and set a good example
5. Must be professional, avoids negativity, and promotes success through faith and hard work

The meaning of the name JADRANKA;
The name Jadranka is the Crotatian variation of the name Adrian wich comes from the Roman cognomen Hadrianus, which meant from "Hadria" in Latin and Adria in Greek. Hadria (Αδρία) and Ancona (Αγκώνα) were Greek colonies build by Dionysos the Elder from Syracusses alied to Sparta. The experts say that Hadria gave its name to the Adriatic Sea

Here is JADRANKA'S bio;
Wow! This is amazing. I don't really know how I got to be here but thank you for this great honor. There isn't really very much to me. This is where I am today.
I am 51 years old, shy, trying to make a living, divorced, I have 3 absolutely adorable sons, Frank 32, Johnny 29 and Christopher 12. BTW Frank and Johnny are not married, so, I am taking applications for wives for them...it's time they left home...lol...We have one cat called "cat" (yeah, I know real bright, but it was the best we could come up with) 2 dogs, a black German Shepherd named Vader and a Blue Healer called Sheeba, which we got from the pound.
This is how I got here. My parents are from a town called Blato on the island of Korcula, which is on the beautiful Dalmatian coast in Croatia, at the time known as Yugoslavia. They moved to Split, the capital of Dalmatia in 1953, a few months after the birth of my brother, Veljko. I decided it was time for me to show up in 1954, my parents named me Jadranka in honor of the Adriatic Sea. We call the Adriatic Sea "Jadransko More"
Life was hard, so we moved to the "Lucky Country" - Australia - in 1959 wanting a free, rich, happy life. Apart from the teasing with regard to our names, life was great. Mum and dad were working very hard to give us the good life. We were free, grateful and very, very happy, till March of 1965.
A few months short of Veljko's 12th birthday our happy world was shattered. Veljko and his best friend Claudio went to play at the sand dunes near our home, where all the kids from the neighbourhood played and collected tadpoles every chance we got, it was fun. They never came home. Five days later, they were found in one of the sand dunes, they were digging a tunnel and it collapsed on top of them. Mum and dad went into shock, as did Claudia's parents, mum never recovered and had to go on medication. I love my brother dearly and I miss him terribly. I was 10 and a half years old and I was all alone.
Eighteen months later my parents started their family all over again and had another son, Ivan, and 2 years later another son, Anthony. Mum and dad were not coping very well, so I became their support system and spent most of the time looking after my new brothers. I don't know what it is like to be a teenager, I never had that privilige.
At the age of 18, I married, I had my first child at the age of 19. If you are wondering where my sister, who is in the picture with me in my profile fits in, she is 3 months younger than my son Frank and I helped to raise her too. We are more like mother and daughter than like sisters.
I worked on farms, in factories and in hotel kitchens to help supplement my husband's income. I got a lucky break in 1980, my best friend let me know there was an opening for a job as a teller at the local credit union. I arranged for an interview, had to take Johnny with me, he was 3 years old at the time. I was appalled at his behaviour and very embarassed, I do not know how I got through that interview or what was said. I wanted to crawl into a hole and I prayed to God that I never see that man again. Two days later he rang me and told me I had the job. I couldn't believe it. He probably thought I had to get away from that child...lol... I was with the credit union for 12 years, till just before Chris was born.
I left my ex 3 months after Chris was born, Johnny followed 4 months later and Frank 2 months after that. We have lived together ever since. I have grown old but I haven't grown up - how could I? - I have been with kids since I was 12 years old.....can't get away from them.......lol......no really, I wouldn't have it any other way, they are great kids, they are my life.
A few years ago, I started suffering with arthritis, my muscles ached and my joints locked. I was preparing myself for a nursing home when I found a great product - Herbalife - that has relieved all my symptons and has given me back my life. I came to the internet in October of last year hoping to find a way to market the product over the net. I still haven't been able to do that and I hope that one day I will.
Wow! that was nearly 10 months ago....talk about being slow...lol.....well, my excuse is: it's not my fault that marketing and the internet is confusing...lol... I got caught up in the plug-in-profit site which led me to AdlandPro through the Empowerism program which is one of the programs in with the plug-in-profit site. I came to Adland to market my site and make a profit. Have I done that? Well I have marketed but there has been no profit even though I did try to plug-in. (there is a little joke there....hey! I can't help it that I've got a weird sense of humour.)
My life has changed dramatically since I came to Adland in February. I have met some terrific people here at Adland and have made many great friends. I love you all very much, I thank you all for being my friends, for your help and for inviting me to your forums - many of them have touched me in a way I could never put into words - and have helped me get through some tough times. In my eyes, it is all of you that are shining stars, and I honor all of you, for it is you who have brightened up my life. Hugs and kisses and I wish you success and happiness. Thank you Jadranka
