If You Could Read My Mind

If you could read my mind love,
what a tale that my thoughts could tell !
just like an old time movie
about ghost from a wishing well

In a castle dark
or a forest strong
With chains upon my feet
you know that ghost is me
And I will never be set free
as long as i'm a ghost that you can see

If I could read your mind love
what a tale your thoughts could tell
Just like a paperback novel
The kind the drug stores sell

when you reach the part
when the heartaches come,
The hero would be me
The hero often fails
You won't read that book again
because the endings just too hard to take.

I walk away like a movie star
who gets burned in a three way split.
Enter number two.
A movie queen that played the scene
Bringing all the good things out in me
Now whats left to be?

I never thought I could act this way
And I got to say
That I just don't get it.

I don't know where we went wrong
but the feelings gone
and I just cant get it back.

if you read between the lines
you'll know i'm just trying to understand
The feeling that you lack.

I never thought I could feel this way
And I got to say
That I just don't get it.

I dont know where we went wrong
but the feelings gone
and I just can't get it back.

Hi

Robert, thanks for sharing the poem I enjoyed it even if it's kind of a sad one. Sometimes it's hard to understand what happens to one feelings but it's part of life I guess. They say one grows and changes as time goes by and it's not always a good change !!! Have yourself a great day/night!

Warm Regards

Speak out & pass it on !!!

HI
Change is GOOD (sometimes) and feelings are great, again only if it makes you happy. Sounds like the poem brought out some sad feeling somewhere along the line. SMILE and have a Super month. Things don't always seem to be right, but we can work on them.
