I understand what you're saying, It happens to me all the time.  Sometimes they are with you for such a short time, to pass on a message that you need at that moment in time.

God has ways of communicating with us in order to help us grow and make the changes in our lives that we need to make. 

I have found these to be rather emotional interludes that have given me a lot of spiritual growth in myself and my family.
