Thanks Helen, I appreciate it.

erm...we could be having this discussion on my own thread...whatever :)

Here's the term you might be thinking of:

"You shall not, and shall not authorize or encourage any third party to: (i) directly or indirectly generate queries, Referral Events, or impressions of or clicks on any Ad, Link, Search Result, or Referral Button through any automated, deceptive, fraudulent or other invalid means, including but not limited to through repeated manual clicks, the use of robots or other automated query tools and/or computer generated search requests, and/or the unauthorized use of other search engine optimization services and/or software;"

And from the Program Policy:

Prohibited Clicks and Impressions

"Any method that artificially generates clicks or impressions is strictly prohibited. These prohibited methods include but are not limited to: repeated manual clicks or impressions, incentives to click or to generate impressions, using robots, automated click and impression generating tools, third-party services that generate clicks or impressions such as paid-to-click, paid-to-surf, autosurf, and click-exchange programs, or any deceptive software. Please note that clicking on your own ads for any reason is prohibited, to avoid potential inflation of advertiser costs."

In other words, one cannot induce multiple manual clicks. However, there is nothing I can do if people choose to click more than once. I'll make a note of removing any such suggestion from the site page. Otherwise, I have done nothing deceptive to encourage clicks. It would be the same as posting a "please visit our sponsors" message on your website.

Hi Steve,

Sounds good to me!(lol)

Like I said, when I visit someone's site that have google ads I click just because!  A friend of mine always says go visit my site and leave me a tip!(lol)

She is, isn't she Kathy!  She's going to be on television again on the 26th I think!

Thanks for the clarification Steve.  I wasn't aware of your humanitarian motives.  It would have made sense to me if the purpose of your experiment was stated at the outset and the proceeds generated would be donated to an Adland member in need.

Hi there Kathy!

I viewed Steve's proposal.......very interesting.  He definitely has a good idea.  There is one person in particular that comes to my mind who needed this help.  This person had AdSense up on thier site.

Whether the ads generated enough to help this person I don't know.  But this is a terrific idea!

~ Drummerboy Keep on thinking positive…..thank God for everything that’s good in your life……..and make it a great week!
