This is a great website, Kathy. I have Rumatoid Arthritis caused from chemical contamination when I worked with top secret government projects as an Electrical Engineer. I have since been able to treat, but not cure it in myself, my wife and other people. Thank you Susan, for this really good information, and your site.

My Mother was just diagnosed with RA from blood work done at the local hospital here. I personally did not know much about RA, but have done a little research on it, and have took her to a Rheumitoidologist.  This specialist has just done a blood panel, as your site suggested. This was done, because the blood test at the local hospital was not good enough evidence of this disease.

So, my point is this, you need more than just a blood test from your local hospital. If you do think you have RA, best go to a specialist, and he/she can get you tested in a more specific way for treatment. And the sooner, the better.
