Wouldn't you know, I arrive on  the tour after everyone else is gone back home.  Very interesting history....relationships between the countries.

The architeture is quite different with the alcoves....sunken windows and indentures in the walls.

This was a lovely quiet time away from  work.  Would there be gardens that we might see? Maybe I missed in the reading but did the family stay there year round?

The best part here with these kind of tours is that a "bus" with the guide is always ready for all the interested toursits!

Hi again Ana Maria. I just had to come back and share this with you:

I have a friend who is very interested in middle ages history, and when he was visiting this week, I showed him your tour. He loved it and before he even got to the part about the Maryhill Museum, he began telling me about his visit there, how great it was and that it is right here in my home State of Washington. It is across the mountains a couple of hundred miles from here, but I know I will visit one day and be able to see some of Queen Marie's things.

What a marvelous and sometimes unexpectidly connected world we live in!
