Dave, Thank you so much for your Daves Hearth site. I absolutely love it. The Psalms study really speaks to my heart. Six years ago our church was started in Nebraska. We started with a good sized group but soon they dwindled down to three families including the pastor's. We held on and the Lord blessed with family of families coming and then two more families. We have an incredible large building that is paid for and we have had a lot of blessings. We lost our pastor's wife two years ago and that has affected the church and of course our pastor. We are now down to three families and for various reasons very discouraged. I know our pastor is discouraged even if he does not directly say so, It comes out in his sermons. We have our personal relationship with the Lord but we miss the fellowship that our church had. It is very hard for us to go to church. Please pray for the Lord's will in our lives and in the life of our church. Katheryn

Hi Katheryn, I am praying for you and your church. I understand the difficulties and challenges of a struggling church and the discouragement that can come with it. Your pastor is going through a very difficult period in his life; it often takes a minimum of two years to begin to recover from the loss of a beloved spouse. Your pastor is a very dedicated man to have continued on in his service during this time. Our church is also very small. We meet in a church building that we rent from the Seventh Day Adventists and are very blessed to have this facility. While our group is small, we have been blessed to see a number of people over the years come to put their faith in Jesus Christ. As Jesus said, "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world."
