I always dreamed of owning my own business.
Something that would provide for me and my family forever. After being laid-off, "furloughed", and down-sized, I was tired of building someone else's dream and not being in control of my own future. I didn't know exactly what that business was. But, I did always dream about what the perfect business would give me... a BIG income. The quality time to spend with my family and DO the things that created value and meaning for me. A business vehicle that would look after any possible thing that I could ever face.
The Perfect Business would also be one:
1. with no employees
2. with no inventory to stock and warehouse.
3. with no office overhead.
4. which allows the time and money to take vacations often.
5. which is not affected by the economy's ups and downs.
6. which sells a service that everyone needs or wants and consumes and buys again.
7. which sets no income or volume or geographic limits.
8. which pays indefinately to me and my heirs.
In 1987 a friend of mine introduced me to the prepaid legal services industry. http://AlanSmith.name With what little he was able to explain to me at the time, about what a Legal Plan could do for me, it seemed like a "common sense" product. Like most people I had NOT used an attorney much. Not because I didn't want what they offered... I just didn't want what they charged. Now that I have the service I use it several times per year. It just made sense for me to market a service that I was going to refer to people with or without compensation.
Today, my goals have changed a bit. Success is not merely financial. I look forward to the friendships I share with others who have the same desire for success. For me, success is about building relationships with other people. Success is helping others achieve their goals. And optimistically, I believe that the best is yet to come. It was not that long ago that I was dreaming only of creating wealth for myself. Now, I dream of raising up and developing other leaders whose families can create wealth from home offices nationwide. The great news is that I am achieving that ... and you can be part of it, realizing your goals and seeing your dreams come true.
