Mary, Very sound advice that should be read by all members, and then acted on. When I first became an Adland member a unsual large percentage of the members believed that forums were to be used for their personal advertising. This has subsided to some extent and many forums are now being used for discussions, which is a good sign, that many members are becoming more professional. I notice that many new members still use the forms for advertisement. The major problem with this is the fact they are limiting their exposure to their own member list. Lets say they only have two friends, and they mail their information to them, they are limited two the two friends. On the other hand, they can use the Community Forum and extend their exposure imensley. They can also use the paid ad service and reach 1,000's.

Hi I like this topic and the common sense your presenting to creating a forum. I do not like long posts and no space between paragraphs, it makes it very hard to read! I don't have that time for very long post... thanks Mary, great guidelines. Have yourself a super weekend! Warm Regards Speak out & pass it on! Broadcast Decency United Voice Against CHILD ABUSE

Hi Lisa, So glad you came. Everyone should know that you received a special invitation via a friend of mine. To those new at using forums this is how we work together for the betterment of all of the community. When we find a good forum, we recommend it to our friends. We also encourage each by asking others advice about the feasibility of making a forum. Sometimes we need a friend to say "Sure, that's a good topic....go for it". I built one thread because a friend encouraged me to do so. Have a forum idea, ask a friend what they think. Send them a copy of what you are proposing and let them be your proof-reader. Friends and forums---good combination.

Hi Edward, Refresher courses often sink in better than previous lessons. Because probably none of us knew about the Adlandpro regulations, a forum got out of control. Anyone reading this should go to that part of Adlandpro and read those regulations. (Listed in original part of this forum). By the way nice to meet you and hope to see you around more often. Glad you stopped in.
