Re: $30 million Suit filed for Internet site failure to protect children from adult sexual predators.

As a Mother of a teen daughter, I feel deeply for this family. However, I feel it is MY business to know what she is doing, who she is talking to, and I do not ever want to put my trust in the government or any internet group to be babysitting her for me. That's my job. We have a rule. I know all of her passwords. If I ever try to log in to her accounts and can't get in because the password has been changed, then internet access has to go. So far, it's worked like a charm. Parents in America need to become real parents. Take care of your kids! Sandra Cobb http://theBlogLady.com

There is a new web site for kids that is being monitored to make sure no predators are on line. It offers a lot more features to satisfy parents, Such as taping all conversations and only the parents can play it back. Its FREE.... check it out at: http://www.kidsafeland.com/signup.php Good place for all of them. Hi good morning Ken et al Further to my last post, on this subject, I am including a new, UK initiative, website address; which I would urge you, and all other concerned parents, to visit. This site is monitored 24/7 by specialist police units here in the UK; and, now also, in the US, Canada, Australia, and Interpol etc'. It's success is heralded by the recent first internet capture, and Jailing for nine years, of a paedophile. He had been grooming young girls for some time when he was reported by a responsible UK citizen, to the new web site. After that it was relatively simple to just watch and listen until he came online, then GOTCHA! I won't go on further about this admirable initiative, as you will all see for yourselves what a great idea this is. Please see a piece from the web article pasted below: A website described as a new global law enforcement initiative designed to catch people preying on children has today – following an investigation by Nottinghamshire Police – led to the conviction of a sex offender whose victim used it to report his offending. Lee Costi, 21, from Haslemere, Surrey, was sentenced by Nottingham Crown Court to nine years imprisonment after admitting three counts of meeting a child following sexual grooming, three counts of sexual activity with a child, two counts of making indecent images of children and possession of 41 indecent images of children! Enough said? So, copy and paste the web address, which is: www.virtualglobaltaskforce.com I strongly urge you all to check out this site and to make as many paople as possible aware of this new resource in the fight against online sexual predators, and paedophiles.
