hi, my mom and dad never left my sis and i alone for one minute, unless it was with another adult. if we misbeheaved, we know exactly what was going to happen. we were taught to respect others, make the right choices, do as we were told, and never to do anything that we knew was wrong. you have to be a good parent to expect your kids to grow up right. to blame others, in this case My Space, because you arn't watching them is totally wrong. nan

This website MySpace has to be the worst thing on the internet. Even if watched at home there are always ways to get to the website. Other teens, school, library, and many more areas that provide internet links to the public. Larry

Hi Larry, IMHO, I would say there are worse places. MySpace is so cotraversial for the fact that the kids are involved and are getting hurt. Parents not doing their jobs of monitoring their kids the way they need to and kids not morally being responsible for their actions. When kids fail and parents fail then the government is looked at by those that fail to fix it. MySpace in itself has allowed the demoralling values to take place on their site. Instead of pro-active they were passive. And now it's become the biggest topic of who to blame. I hope the lawsuit fails. Not for the fact I wish ill feelings to the victim. I do feel that karma took it's place. Mother wasn't pro-active, daughter lied about her age and what she was up to, setting herself up to be victimized. I see that MySpace was the weapon used to commit the crime. So, as with a gunman, do you blame the gun or the shooter? To many parents want to put the blame on everyone else! Some parents need to get off their lazy a$$$ and be a parent not just someone that can give birth to a child. Sheryl
