Hello dear friends,
This is a special message from me to you just to let you know that ...
Whoever you are
Wherever you are
Whatever you are doing
Whomever you are with
Regardless of what you think of yourself
Regardless of what you think others think of you
Regardless of what your parents told you about yourself
Regardless of your perceived failures in life
Just because you are YOU
Just because you are perfect exactly as you were born
Just because you live and breathe
Just because you are a light in the world
YOU ARE LOVED
YOU ARE VALUED
YOU ARE TREASURED
YOU ARE CHERISHED
BY ME.
Just because you are YOU.
This morning during my morning meditation I was inspired to share the above message with you again, which I actually created for Valentine's Day this year.
I was also inspired to create an exercise that will help you learn to love yourself more, just as I am learning to do. I believe that the first step in loving others is loving yourself. How can you share what you do not have?
When you do not love yourself you do not feel that you deserve to have what you want in your life.
Law of Attraction teaches us that we do attract what we are thinking about.
I believe a stream of well-being, abundance and love is flowing to us at all times. The only reason we do not receive it is because we are not open to receiving it... and the reason we are not open to receiving it is because we don't think we deserve it... and the reason we don't think we deserve it is because we don't love ourselves.
Make sense?
We are each born perfect, regardless of how it appears. There are no mistakes. We are also born deserving.
There can be many reason we don't love ourselves, including what we were told as children either with words or actions by the people who influenced our lives or beliefs that we have developed as adults. Regardless of what we have been taught we can change.
We can change today.
If we are not loving ourselves, how can we attract others who love us?
If we are not loving ourselves, how can we attract abundance and prosperity?
After reading the two articles below, I would like to invite you to participate in the following exercise:
LOVING YOURSELF EXERCISE
1. Make a list of the top ten things you love most about yourself. Describe what you believe are your best qualities or features or characteristics. Write them down. Read them back to yourself out loud.
2. Send an email to three people who know you and ASK them to reply and list 10 things they love most about you. When you receive the answers, read them aloud to yourself.
3. Come back to the list and share your list of the top ten things you love most about yourself and the answers you receive from the three people you ask to list what they love most about you.

Following is an article by Louise Hay. I am currently listening (again) to her CD series, The Power Is Within You, which is all about learning to love ourselves.
How to Love Yourself ~ by Louise L. Hay
Stop all criticism. Criticism never changes a thing. Refuse to criticize yourself. Accept yourself exactly as you are. Everybody changes. When you criticize yourself, your changes are negative. When you approve of yourself, your changes are positive.
Stop scaring yourself. Stop terrorizing yourself with your thoughts. It's a dreadful way to live. Find a mental image that gives you pleasure, (mine is yellow roses) and immediately switch your scary thought to a pleasure thought.
Be gentle and kind and patient. Be gentle with yourself. Be kind to yourself. Be patient with yourself as you learn the new ways of thinking. Treat yourself as you would someone you really love.
Be kind to your mind. Self-hatred is only hating your own thoughts. Don't hate yourself for having the thoughts. Gently change the thoughts.
Praise yourself. Criticism breaks the inner spirit. Praise builds it up. Praise yourself as much as you can. Tell yourself how well you are doing with every little thing.
Support yourself. Find ways to support yourself. Reach out to friends and allow them to help you. It is being strong to ask for help when you need it.
Be loving to your negatives. Acknowledge that you created them to fulfil a need. Now you are finding new, positive ways to fulfil those needs. So, lovingly release the old negative patterns.
Take care of your body. Learn about nutrition. What kind of fuel does your body need to have optimum energy and vitality? Learn about exercise. What kind of exercise can you enjoy? Cherish and revere the temple you live in.
Mirror work. Look into your own eyes often. Express this growing sense of love you have for yourself. Forgive yourself looking into the mirror. Talk to your parents looking into the mirror. Forgive them, too. At least once a day look into the mirror and say: "I love you, I really love you!".
LOVE YOURSELF - DO IT NOW! Don't wait until you get well or lose the weight, or get the new job, or the new relationship.
BEGIN NOW - Do the best you can.

I received this little story from my friend, Viveca Stone from http://www.GetReadyForLove.com
How Are You Like A $20 Bill?
You are special - Don't EVER forget it.
A well-known speaker started his seminar by holding up a $20.00 bill. In the room of 200, he asked, "Who would like this $20 bill?"
Hands started going up. He said, "I am going to give this $20 to one of you but first, let me do this."
He proceeded to crumple the $20 dollar bill up. He then asked, "Who still wants it?" Still the hands were up in the air.
Well, he replied, "What if I do this?" And he dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe. He picked it up, now crumpled and dirty. "Now, who still wants it?" Still the hands went into the air.
"My friends, we have all learned a very valuable lesson. No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth $20. Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way. We feel as though we are worthless. But no matter what has happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value. Dirty or clean, crumpled or finely creased, you are still priceless to those who DO LOVE you. The worth of our lives comes not in what we do or who we know, but by WHO WE ARE. "
