Well , I hate them with a passion since I tend to loose my train of thought and get myself side tracked. Of course that's what they are all about, are they not? I am in agreement with Art about the slowness of the Adland site. For a while I thought it was my equipment that was aging, but now I see that I am not alone facing this problem. Let's hope management reads this and finds a solution for it.

I have read more here and this has wanted me to say more. Hehehe. The most successful companies (McDonald's, Coca-Cola, etc...) have made theirselves on their advertising that I refer to as 'In Your Face'. Billboads, placards, coasters, napkins, cups, clothing, tv ads, radio ads, keychains, whatever you have seen them on has built their name. This is the same approach every person that is in business should be doing for their business if you want to succeed. The pop-up is another way, with the content being a softer approach, to peole getting to know you and then your business. This is vital for the internet entrepeneur. If you had a tangible pick-it-up-and-buy-it item(s) then your name would not be as important. But selling on the internet without a brick and mortar store people need to know they can trust you to buy from you. Those that wish not to use pop-ups are missing exposure. Alot of it I will point out. I know pop-ups work and even though they are not the prime source of income they are income. If you discredit the income they create you must be rich! Not that pop-ups will make you rich but do add up in time. Ok. Enough advertising lesson. Send me $10.00 for the tips you learned today and I'll call it even. ;-) Happy blogging. __________ Kenneth R Sword Jr Co-CEO - Bizzy Blogz http://www.bizzyblogz.com Sponsor of the ABA Basketball 'Streetball' group "Nothing But Net Entertainment" http://www.bizzyblogz.com/NBNE/ New! Hi Nan, You explained your position very well. I have vision problems, so it is difficult to get focused on time. I clocked them at 10 sec. If it looks interesting best to follow instructions posted here and put it in a different window. One can open it and use the green return button and come back to what you were doing. I think learning to ignore them will happen for those who truely do not want to use them . That is called "conditioning".

I agree with most of the people who have responded to this forum. Pop ups are annoying. Someone did suggest placing the pop up in a different location on the page. That might be good. Like some here it interferes with reading or typing.
