Hi Marilyn,
We live just south of Indianapolis, Indiana. In our area, there are a lot of Geese. Another thing that I have learned from Geese is this. When they are crossing the road or a Highway, and there are thirty or more of them, you might just as well turn your motor off and save gas. They will not hurry, they will not fly back to the side of the road, and they will not be intimidated by the motorists. After all, these roads and highways used to be ponds, marshland, and open fields. Geese, by habit return to the same area each year, lay their eggs, nourture their brood, and teach there young the dangers of the enemy called humans. A couple of years ago, a section of Indianapolis had a larger population then ever of Geese so the local government sanctioned permission for open season on Geese. I believe the area was where a multi-million dollar project was being built and the Geese were slowing production. I wonder what would happen if Geese, Monkeys, Lions and Tigers, and other Wild Beasts, would gain the knowledge to build guns?
