I cannot seem to see any fun in what they do, or anything positive whatsoever....so, to me, why do it? Guess one would have to have some sort of a criminal mind to figure it out, but it baffles me to no end! I agree with Jeffrey...Avast is one of the best...I have been using it for awhile with no problems! I also use AVG and Avira AntiVir Guard. All free! I don't like to take any chances! Peace Julia

I agree. Never log into any site from an email, not even your own.

More advice from a computer tech in the trenches.

• If you don't have antivirus software, you're probably already infected (without downloading anything, without reading email ) Yup, as soon as you turn on the computer and connect to the internet...zap, they've got you. Due to security holes in Windows, that's how easy it is.
• Always keep your antivirus up to date. Outdated antivirus software is almost useless.
• A firewall does NOT protect you from viruses. You always need antivirus software.

I work with major retail companies and you would be surprised how many managers I speak to who didn't know that antivirus software is essential these days. These are companies with hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of data.
