Sometimes we just need to take a break
5/24/2006 11:32:14 AM
Hello beloved friends, Do you ever feel like you have more than you can do and feel overwhelmed by what you DO want to do? Me too! So I have learned that sometimes we just need to take a break. Last night I was sitting at the picnic table here at the campsite where we have our RV (Gratitude Chamber) parked - stenciling and painting on some little canvas bags I am decorating to sell here at the campground along with my fork and spoon windchimes. I was really enjoying myself, but I said to my husband that I really need to return some phone calls to several people who had inquired about my Send Out Cards business. My husband said that perhaps it would be better for me to continue with my art project in gratitude, knowing that I want to attract to me those who are interested in my business. So, that's what I did. Then...yep, you guessed it! Soon after I came inside the RV when it got dark, I got a phone call from from one of my Send Out Cards customers who said he wanted to upgrade to become an Independent Distributor. So signed him up and got him started with his new business. You know that has happened to me before. When I take time to do something I really enjoy and express gratitude for the opportunity to do it, knowing that I also have the intention to attract customers and business builders in my business, I do exactly that. New members are attracted to me. They call me! What could be better than that? So, when we learn to relax a little and feel grateful for what we have in our life, those things that we desire come speeding to us. I have learned that sometimes I just need to take a break. How about you? When was the last time you gave yourself a break?

Linda, Girl, have you hit the nail on the head there! I've known for quite some time that I have to be forced to take a break. And sometimes to sleep. (Never have any trouble getting myself to eat, lol.) At the risk of lowering the energy level, here is the result: all work and no play makes ANYBODY dull. Dull doesn't attract, it repels. It's actually counterproductive! Unfortunate news for the workaholics of the world. So next time your spouse or kids want you to go play...DO IT! And resist the urge to fret about what isn't getting done. Odds are it didn't need to be done anyway, or it isn't as urgent as you think. Cheri
