Dear Friends,
If you seek true wellness, it begins in your home.
Look at your laundry detergent, dishwashing powder, multi-purpose cleaner. Are there warning labels on them? Of course there are -they're toxic!
Here are some of the ingredients in these products and their short and long-term effects:
Laundry detergent (liquid): short term: eye irritant, corneal damage, coughing and difficulty breathing. Long-term: ethanol, triethylene glycol - repeated exposure to fumes can cause chronic lung irritation; repeated contact with skin can cause dermatitis. Death in rare cases.
Laundry detergent (powdered): Short term: skin and eye burns, corneal damage, headaches, dizziness, difficulty breathing; Long term: sodium silicate, sodium carbonate, bleach. Breathing this dust can cause central nervous system depression, difficulty breathing and in rare cases death.
All this information is taken from the manufacturer's Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and info from the National Poison Control Center. For a FREE toxin check-list, write to me at roadtohealth@estiallina.com and ask for it with your full postal mailing address.
Other chemical dangers in our homes are found in our personal care products: soap, shampoo, toothpaste. More info on this in a later posting.
EMF - electromagnetic fields are becoming a cause of growing concern. EMF is emitted by all electrical appliances. The more appliances, cordless phones, microwaves, computers, wireless game stations we have in our homes, the more exposure we have. The health risks are serious and cumulative.
