Linda, what a marvelous miracle from your son. Yes, we have connections with our loved ones that have passed on. I had a very similar thing happen with my mom this past week. I believe she gave me a mother's day present from beyond. I wrote about it in my blog and when I saw your title, I thought, this was my title for my blog, did I write about it here and forget? Our loved ones do indeed send us constant reminders that they are eternal and still love us. This is mine. I will copy and paste an excerpt from my blog, and I will include the title I used on my blog.
MY MOTHER'S DAY MIRACLE
This Mother's Day is most special. It is the very first one I will spend without my mother. This year, there will be no gift for me to buy for her, and it feels very strange. However, this mother's day, my mother sent me a present from heaven.
A few days after my mother passed away, I found myself crying and asking God to somehow let me know that mom was okay. That very same day, I got the following poem in my email from a friend.
WAITING FOR YOU
I'm sending you this message just to say,
I'm safe here in heaven to run and play.
The Angels watch over me all of the time,
The biggest one here is mine, All mine.
There's so much here to see and do,
My only wish is that you were here too.
Don't worry about me or think I'm alone,
Jesus has been with me, since I've been gone.
We sat by a river that is crystal clear,
He said no one here ever sheds a tear.
I told Him of you and all the fun we had,
He just smiled and said, "Don't be sad,
For someday soon you'll see her again,
But until then I will be your friend."
So when you miss me, please don't be blue,
I'm just playing in heaven, waiting for you.
I read this poem in amazement. This was my sign. I made a file to keep my answer from God safe forever, and then last fall my computer crashed and I lost my treasured poem.
I have missed this poem terribly ever since. With the Memorial, and Mother's Day coming up, this poem has been in the back of my mind. I have so been wishing that I had it.
Tuesday while we were stuck in the clubhouse because of the dreadful storm, we were all visiting and talking when, all of a sudden, Sam pulled out a piece of paper from his bible and said, "Here, read this." I took it from him and almost fell off the chair. It was THE POEM! My sign from God! Amazed, I asked him, "Sam! How did you get this?!" His answer was, "I don't know, it was lying on my kitchen table with a bunch of papers." I really can't say that he gave it to me, as I took it and vowed to guard this piece of paper with my life. I now have a file again, with my most precious Mother's Day gift ever, and the actual poem I keep in a file in my drawer.
