A Soldier's Last Laugh
5/13/2006 10:21:48 AM
This is an old, but true and funny story. Some of the words and names have changed, but the point is well taken, even for today's times, and different countries. After World War II, a soldier was riding a bus in France. As the bus went along, the French people made sarcastic remarks intended for the soldier. One said, "Look, there's Pizza Hut from America. It was once Jacque's Pizzaria. Another said, "Look, there's McDonalds from America. It was once Bruno's Sanwiches. And yet another said, "Look there's Burger King from America. It was once Antoine's Deli. Tired of hearing this, the soldier got off at the next bus stop, but before stepping off the bus, he turned to the people in the bus and said, "France. Once it was Germany's. Having said this, he smiled and got off the bus. Anyone interested in reading a Soldier's Prayer can log on to http://musecube.com/Chiquis It is a model's website, however, she has the Soldier's Prayer on one of her lnks.
