Hi Dave, Thanks for the heads up - Thank God you are around, I can't keep up with these guys. I had quite a few 'phishing type' that looked they were from Paypal; whenever in doubt, I send them to spoof@paypal.com and invariably, that's what they are. keep well and God bless, Louis http://www.yorgoo.com/cgi.bin/ref.cgi/1850/ ...and by the way, Thanks for joining my FFA http://www.yblaster.info

Hey Dave, PayPal seems to be the target recently. Thanks for your tip. For several weeks I had a similar experience with receiving e-mails from apparently legitimate PayPal sources. In my case the PayPal mail, logos and the whole 9 yards looked official, requested me or rather insisted that I go to a link provided to update my records. I know that PayPal, among other legitimate financial institutions, do not conduct business that way. Being one that folders every link related to business in it own title of business, I forwarded the entire bogus e-mail to PayPal. Their direct link is Spam@paypal.com. The problem ended nearly as quickly as it appeared. Hope this helps someone. Thanks again, Don

Dave, You have posted some very good information. However this is not a new scam, it has been going on for 30-35 years that I know of. These invoices orginally sent to companies in hopes that the accounting department would pay without questioning the invoice. They were sent out to large companies where there were many inexperienced people in accounts payable. It has been online for several years now and it is best to keep account of any ordering you may do online. Most of the business I conduct is usually cash up front.
