Hi Eileen, There's really no need to apologize for anything. There actually is cases of this same thing happening all over the country even today. In the 12 years I was driving trucks, we were constantly reminded of this, especially if we were going into some of the major citys such as New York City or any of it's 5 boroughs; Detroit; and Chicago. There are always one gang or another that tries the same thing , sometimes with a little twist, but it is a danger to watch out for. An Urban ledgend it is not. The best course of action you can do is just base your decision on the particular area you are in. If you're in doubt, just don't flash your lites. Thanks for the e-mail tho.
