Hello Vi,
Thank you for the invitation to your forum, you have chosen a good topic of conversation.
I agree, colour does have quite an effect on you. For example certain colours do not suit you as would say your best friend. One of the reasons is our skin tone, eye colour, hair colour that lends itself to looking better in colours that suit us.
I have personally found colours which have been made up from green/yellow shades suit me better than blue/dark red because my skin toning is golden and I have red/auburn natural lights in my hair.
I can change the colour of my hair, and even wear coloured contact lenses... but not my skin toning..
When I have worn a colour which does not suit me as good as the colours that are my best shades, it changes the colour in my face whereby I can look ashen or it can show up lines and bad shadows in wrong lighting, which can effect my mood whereby I do not feel as good about myself.
Wearing the correct colour, I feel more confident, my skin looks healthy and glowing
and my mood is overall happier.
You may have noticed people looking wonderful one day in certain colours and another time you see them they do not look as great and may look older, more tired looking etc.
I believe that colour plays a very big part of ones life and can effect us greatly.
Kind regards
Amanda Martin-Shaver
