Even though many if not most of us are well able to spot a scam, it's important for someone with such a high profile as yours to keep putting out the warnings, so that any newbies among us don't fall for these things.
I agree with many of the other replies. Definitely don't reply to the senders of these messages. Definitely report them to Bogdan or Michael. I've done so, and have received confirmation that the profile is deleted. Of course they can always come back, but if we stand together and keep getting them deleted, maybe they will move on to more fruitful ground.
This Nigerian letter (the government's term for it) isn't the only one, and it isn't only perpetrated through private mail. Look what got posted in one of my forums today: http://community.adlandpro.com/forumShowPost.aspx?PostID=143292 (first reply). I left it in just so I could reply to it.
Just for the record, saying something isn't spam doesn't make it not spam. And saying something is legal doesn't make it legal. This one is all the more insidious because it is supposedly endorsed by Oprah. Still doesn't make it legal.
